CURRENT PROJECTS
The aim of my research is to understand how glial cells and neurons work together to create a healthy brain, and what happens when this collaborative effort is not running optimally.

I use a combination of in vitro and in vivo electrophysiology and imaging to study these questions. I currently focus on understanding the neurological disease Megalencephalic Leukoencephalopathy with subcortical Cysts (MLC), a rare but devastating childhood white matter disease caused by astrocyte dysfunction.
